National Food Group is pleased to announce our new Purchasing Team Leader, Brandi Brindley. Promoted from within, Brandi has been an integral part of our purchasing team for over four years and brings extensive procurement experience spanning 18 years in mass market, specialty, and e-commerce platforms.
“Having a team leader like Brandi is a unique advantage because she has spent time as a buyer here and understands the strengths and opportunities,” shared Heather Adam, vice president of operations. “Her leadership style is a combination of coaching and strategy with a hands-on approach to our business. I am excited for her to lead National’s procurement team and help deliver our strategic initiatives,” Adam added.
Brandi shared, “I am looking forward to developing the purchasing team growth opportunities, delivering new and exciting product and program innovation to our customers, and fostering a fun and agile team culture.”
We began looking to fill this critical role in January with an extensive recruitment search. “Providing career growth opportunities for our team is important to us,” Heather explained. “When we have a great match between our internal candidate and the needs of the open role, it’s even better.”
As a food distribution company, National Food Group’s purchasing team is an integral part of the company’s success, with over 10,000 items managed. Our procurement department is one of our largest, with over 20 members and growing.
