We Made Crain's Detroit Fast 50 List Again!

Crain’s Detroit Business has announced that National Food Group has jumped up a few spots in their annual Fast 50 list of fastest-growing companies in Metro-Detroit. We are now ranked No. 26 amongst 50 notable companies. Data is calculated by Crain’s, considering revenue growth and profitability from 2018 through 2021.  

Last year, National Food Group saw record revenue and profit growth. For our Zee Zees brand, the K12 food service team filled a national need for individually wrapped food, and the Retail group increased its national presence with new retailers. In Food Distribution, the Exclusive Markets segment bounced back as large entertainment venues increased their capacity, and the  Corrections segment experienced strong growth year over year.
 
Even though 2022 is a year facing challenges from inflation and supply-chain hiccups, the company is progressing solid and steadily. One innovation this year is the re-branding launch of our consumer product goods brand, Zee Zees®, which is both in school foodservice distribution and retail. Consumers can now buy Zee Zees better-for-you snacks directly from our website zeezees.com.
 
National Food Group has also been implementing its 5-year strategic plan, which was rolled out at the beginning of this year. Each department in the company is preparing for future innovation and growth, and positions are being developed and created as a result.
